Given that a celebrity’s looks are essentially a part of their livelihood, it’s hardly surprising that so many famous faces have opted for cosmetic enhancements over the years. In addition, as the stigma regarding procedures like tummy tucks and facelifts has started to dissipate, more public figures have felt comfortable owning up to the work they’ve had done.

But, even with the progress that has been made in this area, stars who have gone under the knife still often find themselves the butt of misinformed jokes. This week, however, former Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner decided to confront this issue head on when he appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to promote the newest season of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Comedian Jimmy Fallon has routinely cracked jokes about Jenner’s surgically altered appearance over the years. So, when Jenner appeared on “Late Night,” he seized the opportunity to confront Fallon directly.

Jenner explained that he has never been ashamed of the work he’s had done, and noted that he even underwent plastic surgery on TV.

“You wind up taking the absolute worse picture of me to prove the point … then you put it on the air and then you make your jokes,” he told the host.

To prove his point, Jenner showed a few unflattering picture of Jimmy Fallon had asked “What happened to Jimmy Fallon’s face?!”
