Carrie Underwood’s Rhinoplasty Speculation

A nose job (aka a rhinoplasty procedure) is a surgery that modifies the shape and look of your nose. There are multiple reasons to get a rhinoplasty, including:

→ Correction of breathing problems.

→ Repairing your nose after an injury.

→ Modifying the shape or size of your nose for cosmetic reasons.

To start with, your surgeon will do a series of consultations to talk about your goals. This is your chance to ask about all of your options, as well as inquire about costs and recovery times.

Following that, your surgeon will begin the procedure with an incision (either inside your nostrils or on the outside, depending on the procedure). This will allow your surgeon to raise the skin and access your nose cartilage/bone. Depending on your needs, cartilage can then be removed to reduce the size of your nose, or added to modify the shape. For crooked or misshapen noses, the septum can be straightened, therefore improving aesthetics and breathing problems.

The surgeon will then finish by closing up the incision and using splints and gauze to stabilize the nose.

Although plastic surgery might seem like a scary thing at first, it’s actually fairly common. According to the ASPS (American Association of Plastic Surgeons), rhinoplasties are one of the most common plastic surgery procedures on the market. In fact, statistics show that more than 220,000 of these procedures are performed each year. Getting a little help with your looks is now more common than ever. According to the ASPS, the average rhinoplasty procedure runs about $5,483. Of course this price tag depends on a variety of factors such as location, the extent of the changes, and your provider’s fees.

Most insurance plans do not cover cosmetic procedures, and this includes rhinoplasties. The exception of course, is if you have a prior nasal issue that impedes your ability to breathe or your wellbeing. Always contact your insurance provider to ask what types of procedures they cover. Sometimes insurance companies will cover part of your surgery costs. The best policy is to ask and always get a firm estimate before moving forward with a procedure.

Your looks are an investment, and plenty of people have taken advantage of modern science to improve their looks. Numerous celebrities, movie stars, and models have gotten rhinoplasties and improved their overall prospects.

Did Carrie Underwood Get Plastic Surgery?

“[Her nose] looked wider and less feminine when she was younger,” Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Payman Simoni told Life & Style. “Her nose is now in balance with the rest of her face. It hasn’t created a major drastic change in her overall appearance, but she looks more feminine and refined.”

Simoni and other surgeons quoted in the article say Underwood’s possibly enhanced nose better fits her face, complementing her other naturally delicate features. They speculate that Underwood underwent an operation to narrow her bridge and downsize the bump and tip she was born with.

This first photo is from The 43rd Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards in 2008. Her nose seems to have a more visible bump in the bridge area and is not quite as turned upward as in more recent pictures.

This next photo is a more recent one from a performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2011. In this photo, we see what others have commented on when they say the bridge bump is gone and her nose appears more delicate.

This most recent photo is from the Country Music Awards in 2022. When looking at this photo, Carrie’s nose appears very close to her nose in 2008. Her nose seems a little bit thinner and more refined. We think if she did get a nose job, that it was a minor tweak to her natural appearance.

In analyzing Underwood’s current look, some cosmetic surgeons say they also believe she gets regular Botox or Xeomin injections to smooth her skin and minimize fine lines and wrinkles, as well as Juvederm or Restylane injections to plump her lips. Underwood recently turned 31.

Of course, not everyone agrees that the country crooner’s looks have changed. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton recently wrote that Underwood is flawless without the benefit of plastic surgery. Either way, everyone agrees that the chart-topper has never looked better.

At the end of the day, it’s up to you to decide whether these gorgeous looks could have being achieved with nothing but natural vitamins. Keep in mind that if it seems too good to be true, it likely is.
