Summer is finally upon us, signifying the start of swimsuit season. While many women in Tennessee have eagerly awaited this time of year, others have felt a mounting sense of dread. Have you spent hours at the gym trying to shake off the extra weight you’ve accrued during the cooler months, only to find that certain parts of your body just aren’t responding to your hard work? If so, you aren’t alone, and many women just like you are turning to liposuction to overcome this final hurdle.
ABC News recently covered this procedure and the almost instantaneous benefits it can have for women who are nervous about donning tank tops and summer dresses – never mind skimpy bikinis. For one woman in Los Angeles who has been self-conscious about the fatty buildup on her arms for years, liposuction gave her the chance to address this physical flaw and finally feel her best in a sleeveless dress.
“No matter how much I diet or exercise, I feel that my arms don’t trim down,” she told the news outlet before undergoing the procedure.
Her plastic surgeon, Dr. Aaron Rollins, informed ABC that, in addition to the immediate physical effects, he’d noticed that many patients experienced an emotional benefit after getting the procedure done.
“I think it’s actually more of a self-help kind of thing, where people are ready to move on with their life and change something that’s bothered them for a long time,” he noted.
