Male plastic surgery continues to rise in popularity and desire, as many men are undergoing a range of procedures in order to get ahead at work, as well as in their personal lives.

Many recent studies have highlighted the desire to get facial fillers and injections, for both older and younger men in the workplace. Younger men undergo these procedures in order to appear more masculine and seemingly older, while their aged counterparts choose some of the same procedures to gain a younger, more competitive edge.

“Men get surgery as a key tool to help them succeed. In a marketplace where looking fit, younger, and more masculine is imperative, the better you look, the better your chances of ascending the corporate ladder,” said Kevin Smith, MD. in a recent Plastic Surgery Channel article.

Men are also investing in changes within other areas of the body, including the contouring of the abdomen and enhancing the eyelids. Although the muffin top has often been associated with women, men are also apt to suffer from the body change as well. Although “dad bods” still seem to be going strong for most, the desire to be lean and fit remains a huge factor in procedures.

The eyelids, really the eyes in general, are one of the most noticed, and often the first aspect of the body that is seen by strangers. Tired, puffy eyes are an aging sign, one that easily adds five to 10 years to the face. By correcting drooping lids or heavy bags, patients can appear younger and more rejuvenated.

As male plastic surgery continues to change and the number of procedures increases, keep your desires in mind, in both professional and personal mediums.
