The Lett Center is proud to announce that our outpatient facility has been accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. This accreditation lets our patients know that we have taken extra steps to ensure their safety.
In order to earn this esteemed accreditation, a facility must comply with the most stringent set of standards available in the nation and meet strict requirements for facility directors, medical specialist certification, and staff credentials. The facility must also pass a thorough survey by qualified AAAASF surveyors. AAAASF facility surveyors are board certified medical specialists trained to perform a thorough and complete facility inspection.
AAAASF requires 100 percent compliance with all accreditation standards and does not offer partial accreditation. If a facility fails to meet any standard, it must correct the deficiency or risk denial or loss of accreditation. The Lett Center passed inspection on hundreds of important criteria concerning patient safety.
AAAASF facility surveyors follow a regimented procedure to survey an outpatient surgery facility in the following categories:
- General Environment
- Operating Room Environment, Policy and Procedures
- Recovery Room Environment, Policy and Procedures
- General Safety in the Facility
- Blood and Medications
- Medical Records
- Quality Assessment and Quality Improvement
We are very proud of this achievement and our patients can rest assured that our staff will treat them with the best care possible. If you’re considering plastic surgery, contact The Lett Center today to schedule a consultation.
