What Is Vaginal Rejuvenation?
Many treatments can fall under the category of vaginal rejuvenation. Vaginal rejuvenation treatments can solve cosmetic issues, like loose skin, or medical issues, like urinary incontinence. It is often non-surgical and can be used in tandem with other treatments and exercises.
As a popular feminine health treatment, Votiva® is beneficial for therapeutic use in the treatment of sexual dysfunction or as an alternative to Kegel exercises (tightening of the muscles of the pelvic floor to increase muscle tone). Previously, women did not have many options to improve intimate issues that occur from childbirth or aging. Now, with new technologies available, women have more options to resolve their discomfort. There are new choices that are effective, easy, and painless.
The time has come for a safe and effective treatment that is quick and comfortable. Votiva® vaginal tightening and incontinence offers solutions that address internal and external vaginal feminine health issues with non-invasive resurfacing technologies. REASONS FOR CONSIDERING VOTIVA
Reduced sexual interest or low self-esteem
Vaginal laxity
Weak vaginal muscles or incontinence
Low blood flow and sensitivity.
GENERAL PROCEDURE
Votiva® is designed to restore firmness and sensitivity to the vaginal areas without surgery. Instead, a small wand is used to deliver uniform radio-frequency energy to the tissues of the vaginal canal. This procedure encourages collagen production in the vagina, which begins to strengthen and restore the vaginal tissue. Votiva® vaginal rejuvenation also stimulates blood flow to the vaginal area, which can increase sensation and pleasure, and help prevent incontinence.
VAGINAL REJUVENATION RECOVERY PROCESS
The Votiva® treatment is so gentle that there is no downtime or recovery after vaginal rejuvenation. Most patients are able to return to normal activities immediately after the procedure, including exercise and sexual intercourse. Results can be immediate, and these results will continue to improve over the following weeks and months. While some patients will achieve significant results after their first treatment, some may need up to three treatment sessions to achieve their desired results.
The results of Votiva can last up to 18 months. At that point, a follow-up exam can help you determine if you should get another treatment to maintain your vaginal rejuvenation results. A series of 3 treatments are often recommended for the best results.
WHAT IS THE BEST TREATMENT FOR URINARY INCONTINENCE?
Many of our patients commonly ask “what is the best treatment for urinary incontinence?” While kegel exercises are great to do for consistent prevention, it doesn’t always prove to work. Dr. Lett’s patients have found outstanding success for urinary incontinence and feminine health with Votiva® treatment. Urinary incontinence can be caused by a variety of reasons. Some of these include pregnancy, weight gain, and age.
Votiva is not currently covered by insurance, and patients will need to self-pay for this treatment.
