Have you ever wished there was a machine that would make you look younger? Well, luckily, technology is getting us to that point! We live in a time where it is possible to up your beauty routine with actual lasers. From improving skin texture, erasing dark patches, and even getting rid of wrinkles, laser skin treatments have become a regular part of our modern anti-aging treatments. Find out which laser treatments are the best for your beauty concerns.
The Best Lasers For Skin Imperfections
We all have skin imperfections, and as you age, you may start to notice more. You may have acne scars, sun damage, rough skin, or other pigmentation problems. Luckily, laser skin resurfacing is your ticket to youthful skin with less imperfection.
CANDELA QUADRALASE
One of the lasers used at The Lett Center is the Candela QuadraLASE. This laser is a total solution for uneven skin tone, acne scarring, sun damage, wrinkles, and even skin tags. QuadraLASE uses two separate laser devices to deliver either superficial or deep skin treatment.
The ability to modify treatment levels and the technology this laser uses to keep skin cool has a lower risk of side effects compared to other lasers. It is also possible to see noticeable results after just one session, although a series of treatments are needed to see full results.
We also like that patients typically experience less pain with this laser. This CO2 system places treatment spots as far away from each other on the laser device and works in a pattern until all areas are complete.
VBEAM
If you have facial spider veins, the VBeam is proven to treat these issues successfully. Often, facial telangiectasia is too small to be treated by injection, which is painful, by the way! This laser can easily remove spider veins in the face and anywhere else on the body with a lot less pain and no side effects.
VBeam uses a pulsed dye laser to treat vascular lesions. The laser targets deep under the skin to reach blood vessels. The energy from the laser coagulates blood and vessels, which the body will later reabsorb.
Not only is the VBeam good for facial veins, but it can also treat:
- Pigmented lesions
- Inflammatory acne vulgaris
- Wrinkles
- Cherry angioma
- Hemangioma
- Port-wine stains
- Psoriasis
- Poikiloderma
- Venous lakes
- Rosacea
The Best Lasers for Wrinkle Removal
Even with the best skincare regime, with age comes wrinkles. Topical products and facials do help combat aging, but wrinkles are inevitable. The old way to remedy wrinkles is to get a facelift. While this is still an excellent procedure, you can achieve wrinkle reduction in a less invasive way. Laser skin treatments use laser technology to prompt the skin to tighten and regenerate itself.
Pellevé
We use the Pellevé radiofrequency system. This laser is FDA approved to treat mild to moderate wrinkles on all skin types. Pellevé can treat the entire face and isn’t limited to spot treatment of an area. Gradual radiofrequency waves target existing wrinkles to increase collagen production. The laser also tightens skin that is sagging or crepey.
After one treatment, you will notice instant results with improved texture and tighter skin. Even after the treatment, your skin will continue to improve as new collagen forms from the laser treatment. Your collagen will be stimulated for up to 6 months and continue healing your skin and reducing wrinkles during this time. Talk about aging in reverse!
This is a painless laser procedure with no downtime. For optimal results, 4-6 treatments may be necessary.
The Best Way to Remove Hair
There are so many ways to remove hair. Some are painful, some are tedious, and many don’t last. If you are looking to reduce hair forever, laser hair removal is quick and less painful than electrolysis. Laser technology targets the hair follicle and damages it. This damage inhibits all further growth or delays future growth.
We say reduce because hair grows in cycles, and hormones control growth. If you have a change in hormones, new hair may grow. If hair does grow back, it is often finer or in a reduced amount.
There are two types of hair removal lasers at The Lett Center in Mt. Juliet & Lebanon, TN. One is called Candela GentleYAG, and the other Candela GentleLASE.
CANDELA® GENTLEYAG
GentleYAG is an infrared laser that delivers invisible heat energy deep into the skin. Signification hair removal is possible as hair follicles deep in the dermis receive damage. This laser also has cooling technology to keep the upper layers of the skin cool to ensure they are protected. Keeping the skin cool wards off pain and possible burns.
The GentleYAG is also safe for some darker-skinned people who would typically not qualify for laser treatments. Heat is emitted slowly to the hair follicle, making it more effective and safer.
GENTLELASE
This laser does it all! It not only effectively removes hair, but it can also treat pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and successful skin rejuvenation. This laser is optimal for skin types I-III, which is pale to darker white. If you have a lighter complexion, this laser is the one for you.
The GentleLASE laser can treat all of these conditions:
- Unwanted hair
- Diffuse redness
- Hemangioma
- Leg veins
- Onychomycosis (nail fungus)
- Pigmented lesions
- Port-wine stains
- Pseudofolliculitis barbae
- Telangiectasia
- Unwanted hair
- Vascular lesions
- Venous lake
- Wrinkles
These many lasers for skin treatment may be a lot to take in. The aesthetic team at The Lett Center can assess your skin tone and problem areas to ensure you receive the proper treatment from the right laser.
