You may not believe it, but Christie Brinkley will be hitting the big 6-0 in just a few days! In a career that has spanned more than four decades, she has graced the covers of hundreds of magazines, including Sports Illustrated’s coveted swimsuit edition.

In an interview with People magazine, Brinkley said that as she has gotten older, her opinions on cosmetic procedures have changed.

” [I was asked about] plastic surgery in my 40s and I said ‘Never!’ ” Brinkley told the publication. “Now at 60, I’d never say never. I also think there are so many other non-invasive choices that address sagging, wrinkling and discoloration […] I like modern-technology stuff.”

So far, Brinkley has kept up her gorgeous looks by maintaining a healthy diet and exercising regularly. Her favorite activities are yoga and cycling. She admits, however, that her age is catching up to her and a few aches and pains have become more common. Nonetheless, she told People that she’s excited to enter this next phase of her life, and if plastic surgery is in the cards for her, then so be it.

Christie Brinkley is a great example of how opinions about cosmetic procedures have changed over time. More people are realizing how plastic surgery can be beneficial and they also understand that the decision to have a procedure is a personal one. Those who choose to have a nick or tuck shouldn’t be subjected to judgment.
